Worked examples
- $2,000 rent → $300 contribution → $1,700 base-rent balance
- $4,000 rent → $500 capped contribution → $3,500 base-rent balance
- $1,000 rent → $150 contribution → $850 base-rent balance
Related rules
- A selected recipient receives an offer and may accept or decline it.
- If move-in fails after nonprofit funds are sent, those funds are returned to the nonprofit and an alternate recipient may be selected.
- Both the recipient payment and nonprofit contribution are recorded separately on the tenant ledger.
- Assistance has no cash value payable to the recipient.
