How it works

The ordinary rental process comes first. Selection for assistance is separate and is not guaranteed.

  1. Apply for a participating home

Submit an ordinary rental application through Private Property Management.

  2. Complete ordinary approval

The usual review and approval process takes place on the existing rental website.

  3. Monthly random selection

Approved applicants may be included in the documented monthly random selection administered by authorized property-management staff.

  4. Offer, payment, and ledger

Five selected applicants receive an offer. If accepted, the recipient pays 85% of first month's base rent; the nonprofit pays 15%, up to $500, directly to Private Property Management. Both amounts are recorded separately on the tenant ledger.
